Job Description:

We seek an Imaging Service Engineer 2 for the medical center in East Meadow, NY. Under supervision, this person will inspect, repair, maintain, and calibrate basic diagnostic imaging equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers in the identification of technology-based problems.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure all medical equipment is maintained in a quality and timely manner
  • Repairing, maintaining, and calibrating medical imaging devices in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Specific experience with the following medical devices or equipment: MRI/CT and CathLab.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • 5 years of imaging experience
  • Hologic experience preferred 
  • Ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical imaging devices
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and time management skills
  • Scheduling flexibility to participate in an on-call rotation schedule

Position Summary:

Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and calibrate a wide range of basic diagnostic imaging and/or therapeutic radiation equipment, devices, systems, and instruments. Interact on a routine basis with other clinical health providers to identify technology-based problems and develop solutions.

  • Minimum Education Requirement - Associate's Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering, or a discipline geared toward managing, maintaining, and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
  • Minimum Functional Experience - 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment, and/or entry-level formalized training, and/or equivalent military training

MUST HAVE

  • Associate's degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic, biomedical engineering, or a discipline geared toward managing, maintaining, and repairing clinical equipment within a healthcare environment
  • 5 years of imaging equipment repair and maintenance within a healthcare environment, and/or entry-level formalized training, and/or equivalent military training
  • 5 years of imaging experience.
  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Experience with the following medical devices or equipment: MRI/CT and CathLab.
Nice To Have:
  • Hologic experience preferred
