Join our team as a Facility Event Lead and serve as the primary museum point of contact for internal and external clients during event functions, ensuring required details and expectations are met or exceeded.
Schedule: Current shifts available vary, but may include day, evening, and weekend hours.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
โ€ข Understand and follow established set-up procedures to ensure efficiency and consistency under tight deadlines as required.
โ€ข Serve as primary museum contact to partners and clients during event functions.
โ€ข Liaison with Catering Banquet Manager to ensure timely schedule of events.
โ€ข Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance, with a high customer service orientation during event functions.
โ€ข Ensure familiarity with current audiovisual equipment, procedures, and organization.
โ€ข Assist Events Team preparations as required to ensure timely schedule of events.
โ€ข Coordinate with other museum departments as needed to facilitate event function demands.
โ€ข Assist Events Team in maintaining a high degree of readiness of all event spaces and equipment.
โ€ข Remain current on museum policy, required trainings, and regular email inspection as well as familiarity with museum attractions, exhibits, films and programs.
โ€ข Assist Set-up Supervisor with maintaining organization and tidiness of event spaces and storage.
โ€ข Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
โ€ข Proven customer service and/or retail, hospitality experience.
โ€ข Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
โ€ข Event and/or banquet set-up experience.
โ€ข Cultural competency and experience working with diverse communities.
โ€ข Willingness to be open and respectful of all backgrounds.
โ€ข Fluency in language(s) other than English valued (Hmong, Somali, Spanish).
