Job Title: Contract Dental Assistant
 
Location: Multiple IHS Facilities
- Peach Springs, AZ
- Supai, AZ
- Parker, AZ
Responsibilities:
-Provide dental services including exams, restorative treatments, oral health education, and preventive care.
-Diagnose and treat patients within professional scope and IHS standards.
-Assist in patient care processes, ensuring adherence to safety, infection control, and IHS standards.
-Complete and maintain patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Dental Record (EDR).
-Comply with Joint Commission and CMS standards in a culturally competent manner.
-Participate in quality assurance activities and adhere to IHS and service unit policies.
Qualifications:
-Certification from an accredited program or relevant on-the-job experience.
-Minimum of 2 years of experience.
-BLS certification and preferred radiology certification
 
Requirements:
-Background check and character investigation as per the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act.
Credentialing and fingerprinting required before staring.
-Ability to work in Remote Areas and travel if necessary, with weather-related travel challenges expected at some locations.
 
Work Hours:
Varies by location; typically Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with some locations requiring flexibility for longer shifts.
