Job Summary
Lead Developer role for an MNC focusing on Ignition Full Stack and Ignition solutions within Manufacturing Execution System environments delivering robust industrial applications in a hybrid work model. The role drives high quality MES implementations guides complex configurations and ensures secure scalable solutions aligned with modern manufacturing needs.
Responsibilities
  • Design end to end industrial applications using Ignition Full Stack to support Manufacturing Execution System workflows that enhance production visibility and operational efficiency.
  • Develop scalable Ignition modules and reusable components that enable secure data acquisition processing and visualization across multiple manufacturing sites.
  • Configure and optimize MES features such as work order tracking resource management and production dashboards to support real time decision making for operations teams.
  • Implement integration between Ignition platforms and plant floor systems including PLCs historians and enterprise applications to maintain accurate and timely data flow.
  • Analyze complex manufacturing processes and translate them into configurable Ignition based solutions that align with industry best practices and company standards.
  • Review code design artifacts and configuration changes to maintain consistent quality performance and adherence to internal governance guidelines for MES projects.
  • Collaborate with product owners architects and operations stakeholders to refine requirements estimate effort and plan iterative delivery for Ignition and MES initiatives.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to developers on Ignition frameworks MES concepts and industrial connectivity to ensure consistent delivery quality.
  • Perform unit testing integration testing and performance tuning for Ignition applications ensuring high availability and reliability for plant operations.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure and security teams to define deployment strategies access controls and backup mechanisms tailored for Ignition and MES environments.
  • Document solution designs configuration standards and operational procedures so that support teams can maintain Ignition and MES solutions effectively over time.
  • Troubleshoot production incidents by analyzing logs configurations and data flows within Ignition and MES layers to restore services and prevent recurrence.
  • Engage in continuous improvement activities by identifying opportunities to enhance MES capabilities user experience and automation within Ignition implementations.

Qualifications
  • possess a bachelors degree or higher in engineering computer science information technology or a closely related discipline aligned to industrial software.
  • bring ten to twelve years of professional experience delivering complex software solutions with a primary focus on Ignition Full Stack development.
  • demonstrate advanced proficiency in Ignition scripting visualization gateway configuration and deployment in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • show strong hands on experience with Manufacturing Execution System concepts including production tracking quality management and equipment efficiency reporting.
  • understand industrial communication protocols databases and integration patterns commonly used between MES and enterprise systems.
  • exhibit experience working in hybrid work models using collaboration tools to coordinate development testing and deployment activities across distributed teams.
  • apply secure coding practices version control and continuous integration techniques while building Ignition and MES solutions to ensure maintainable and robust software.
  • collaborate effectively with cross functional stakeholders by communicating technical concepts in clear concise language suitable for both technical and non technical audiences.

Certifications Required
Ignition Certified Developer credential and any recognized certification related to Manufacturing Execution Systems or industrial automation.
Compensation: - $100,000 to $130,000 + this position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 9/8/2026
