Job description

Position: Payroll Specialist

Company: IEW Construction Group

IEW Construction Group, a leading heavy civil construction company, is seeking a highly motivated, dependable individual with exceptional attention to detail to join our payroll team. This role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of our construction field payroll, with a high volume of data entry required daily. We are looking for an organized, efficient individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a positive attitude, and can balance multiple administrative tasks while maintaining accuracy. This is an in office, Full-Time Monday through Friday position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll for the construction field team
  • Accurately enter new hire information into the payroll system
  • Input daily data from manual time sheets
  • Prepare and distribute weekly payroll checks
  • Manage garnishments and other required deductions
  • Process lay-off checks
  • Handle unemployment paperwork and employment verifications
  • Generate payroll-related reports as needed
  • Perform other payroll administrative duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience in high-volume payroll process

Strong data entry skills with a focus on speed and accuracy

Working knowledge of prevailing wage and union payroll

Proficiency with payroll software, ViewPoint-Vista experience is a plus.

Strong communication and customer service skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.

Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills


Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
