Job description

Description:
The Eastern Lebanon County School District is accepting applications for an Elementary (Grades 35) Autism Support Teacher. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success through high-quality instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and best practices. Strong skills in student engagement, verbal and written communication, and interpersonal collaboration are essential, as is the ability to lead and effectively support classroom paraprofessionals. Responsibilities include designing, writing, and implementing IEPs; developing Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs); and facilitating IEP team meetings with parents and school personnel. While not required, experience working with students with autism is preferred, along with familiarity with verbal behavior programming strategies and protocols.

Minimum Requirements
Certification in:

  • Pennsylvania Special Education Certification

Clearances:

  • All required clearances must be compliant with the Pennsylvania Department of Education's mandated criteria for hire, including:
    • Current Act 34, 151, and 144
