Job description

Ready to help students find their voice? Cross Country Education is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to support K-8 students in developing essential speech and language abilities throughout the 2026-2027 school year in Chicago, IL.
Position Overview
  • Provide speech-language services to students in accordance with IEP and 504 minutes, ensuring delivery of individualized therapy goals.
  • Develop, write, and maintain all speech-related components of IEPs/504 plans, including full IEP development for speech-only students.
  • Participate in IEP and 504 meetings, collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs.
  • Contribute to MTSS processes by supporting early identification, intervention planning, and progress monitoring for students with speech and language needs.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (K-8)
  • Experience providing school-based speech-language services, including IEP development and caseload management
