Position Overview
The RN - ICU Stepdown provides direct patient care for intermediate-level acuity patients transitioning from intensive care. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to support positive patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
  • Document patient care according to organizational standards
  • Delegate and direct care appropriately to team members

Required Qualifications
Education

    • Stepdown Unit
    • Intermediate Care setting
  • Must be able to provide care independently within the department
Licensure & Certifications

  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire
