What is an ICP internship?

ICP Internships are structured work-based learning opportunities offered through the International Cooperative Program (ICP). These internships allow students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in their field of study, often with a focus on international or cross-cultural environments. Participants work with partner organizations, companies, or institutions to develop practical skills, build professional networks, and enhance their resumes. ICP Internships typically last from a few weeks to several months and may be paid or unpaid depending on the host organization.

What types of projects and responsibilities can I expect during an ICP internship?

As an ICP (Industrial/Institutional Cooperative Program) intern, you can expect to work on real-world projects that align with your academic background and the host organization's needs. Typical responsibilities may include data analysis, research support, process improvement initiatives, or assisting with ongoing departmental projects. Interns often collaborate closely with experienced professionals, gaining exposure to industry practices and developing both technical and soft skills. The work environment is usually supportive, with mentorship and feedback provided to help interns grow and succeed in their roles.
