Description

An Ice Cream Batcher is a member of the Production Team, creating Clementine's decadent ice creams, sorbets, and desserts while upholding the company's high manufacturing and food safety and sanitation standards. This role is responsible for preparing and mixing ingredients used to produce ice cream according to specific recipes and production standards. 

  • Full-Time  
  • Day Shift

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Ice Cream Preparation & Mixing:  Batch, produce, and package ice cream per approved recipes and procedures 
  • Quality Assurance:  Measure ingredients accurately and record all data for traceability.  Quality check ingredients and finished ice cream for everything produced 
  • Inventory Management:  .  Manage inventory levels and report when ingredients are needed 
  • Safety & Sanitation:  Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards to FDA standards.  Maintain food safety records 
  • Equipment Operation:  Operate a digital scale to measure ingredients accurately. Operate confectionery and baking equipment (including but not limited to knives, steam kettles, chocolate melter, mixers, blenders, cake slicer).  Operate manufacturing equipment (including but not limited to ice cream freezers, industrial sized blenders, pumps, COP system) 
  • Documentation & Record-Keeping: Accurately enter yields and lots #'s into inventory system.  Maintain ice cream production logbooks for FSMA including cleaning logbooks, temperature logbooks, equipment checks, and sanitation records. 
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment 
  • Support the ice cream production team by stepping in to ice cream production, filling pints, labeling, and helping in the kitchen as needed. 

Requirements

  •  Must be 18 years of age or older 
  • 1-2 years kitchen or food manufacturing experience preferred 
  • Ability to strictly follow recipes, standards, and procedures while adhering to safety and sanitation rules  
  • Proficiency in basic mathematics to ensure precise calculation and measurement of ingredients. 
  • Tolerate abrupt and significant changes in temperature, due to frequent interaction with freezers and coolers 
  • Lift 30 lbs. constantly  
  • Lift 50 lbs. occasionally and comfortably 
  • Remain standing for most of the shift; stoop and reach 
  • Must be able to climb step stools of varying heights 
  • Ability to taste, smell, and distinguish colors and flavors 
  • Ability to handle products and ingredients that include milk, egg, peanut, tree nut, soy, and/or wheat  
  • Must have the ability to read, write and speak English 
  • Reliable means of transportation to and from production facility Â
