Unit Description
This position is located in a busy post-surgical unit specializing in orthopedic care. The unit operates with high patient volume, especially during mid-week, and is seeking dedicated candidates who are flexible with their shifts. Excessive request for time off (RTO) will not be approved or considered.
Unit Information
Location: Dallas, TX
  • Number of Beds: 22
  • Number of Staff: 36
  • Patient Ratios: 1:5 with ancillary support
  • Type of Staff: Day Shift varies by census, Night Shift varies by census
Equipment & Technology
  • PCA pump
  • Ice machine
  • Welch Allyn Vital Sign Machine
  • Tele box
  • IV pump
General Information
  • EMR: Meditech
  • On Call Requirement: None
  • Floating Requirement: Typically within the facility; occasional floating to other departments may occur.
Qualifications
Candidates must possess the following certifications and experience:
  • Must Have: ACLS, BLS, Med-Surg certification
  • Preferred: Orthopedic experience, PCU experience
