Seasonal Ice Rink/Ice Attraction VENUE Manager


  • MUST have VENUE experience to be considered for this assignment.
  • You will be assigned to one of our ice attraction locations within the U.S.
  • Experience staffing/ hiring of approx 50+ employees
  • Position officially begins in Mid-October. Required to attend training in October
  • You will be away from home during the holidays during this assignment

Magic Ice is looking for energetic General Managers and Support Managers to supervise day-to-day operational aspects of a Seasonal Ice Skating Venue, Ice Slide Venue and /or Ice Amusements (at an assigned location within the U.S.). Most of our Ice Skating rinks, ice slides and ice amusement venues will operate from Mid-October through early January

  • These management positions will be responsible for, but not limited to, the efficient and safe operation of the venue and hands-on management of ice quality (resurfacing), concessions, hiring/training/scheduling and management of all employees, maintaining outstanding cleanliness of the facility and equipment in addition to generating revenue through ice rentals, public skating, sponsorships and general cash management (at select venues).
  • As a Seasonal General Manager you can be assigned to any of the 48 contiguous U.S. states during the duration of your employment. (To be discussed during the interview process)
  • All candidates must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
  • You must be comfortable with travel, living in a hotel and be on-call at your venue for the duration of your assignment.
  • The General Manager must implement risk minimization through safety policies, following employee manuals/guidelines and meeting all local, state and federal safety codes.
  • The General Manager will also assist in first class public relations and providing outstanding customer service while implementing all of the Venues objectives, such as ensuring compliance of company policies & procedures and developing a first-class recreational venue for our clients.
  • Project management and/or management working in an arena or recreational venue/environment, or its equivalent in large crowd management or managing venues with large public events will also be considered. This is a hands-on position where the general manager must be able to think on their feet and develop solutions quickly when necessary.
  • Managers will be self-starters with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision.
  • Managers must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively.
  • All management candidates must exhibit strong leadership skills, have excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to having excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • All management candidates must have a valid driver's license, a basic knowledge of personal computers and be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening.

Our Venues are located at various locations throughout the United States. Transportation, training & boarding will be provided to/from the venue site for all qualified/hired candidates.


This is a FULL-TIME, SEASONAL position and the salary is $3,500 per pay period ($7,000 per month), plus a food allowance and is based on the candidates experience and credentials.
