Job Description

Skate into a new job! Come work at North Scottsdale’s only outdoor real ice, ice rink, where you will be skating through the holiday while getting pay!  Join our friendly, festive team of hospitable holiday helpers at the Princess this year! We are looking for fun energetic multi taskers with a passion for creating Christmas Magic!

Reporting to the Director of Christmas at the Princess Operations, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Seasonal dates of position: Winter Season - October 15th through January 10th
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Display precise knowledge of all event activities and experience inclusions
  • Confer with facility managers in order to provide information, coordinate activities, and discuss opportunities
  • Inspect sporting equipment and/or examine participants in order to ensure compliance with event and safety regulations.
  • Maintain standards of play and to ensure that safety rules are observed
  • Signal participants or other officials to make them aware of infractions or to otherwise regulate skating experience
  • Teach and explain the rules and regulations governing ice rink.
  • Keep track of event times, including rink times and starting or stopping sessions when necessary.
  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Qualifications
  • Hockey or figure skating experience
  • Available evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Previous point of sale system experience an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
