Full Time Shift Manager - Dairy Store/Parlor
Toft Dairy 3717 Venice Road, Sandusky, OH 44870
Schedule Approximately 40 hours per week (hours vary; must include evenings, weekends, and holidays)
The Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing daily Dairy Store/Parlor operations, leading team members, and delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth shift execution, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety, and creating a positive experience for every customer.
Operational Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily shift operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Lead and support team members to ensure efficient and accurate task completion
  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly, professional manner
  • Scoop ice cream and prepare milkshakes, sundaes, and other menu items
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment inside and outside the store
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues in a professional manner
  • Assist with training and coaching team members
  • Support additional duties as assigned

Physical and Work Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the entire shift (excluding breaks)
  • Frequently lift, carry, and move items such as tubs of ice cream, soft serve mix, and supplies (up to 25-50 lbs.)
  • Perform repetitive motions such as scooping, reaching, bending, and twisting
  • Comfortable working in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and freezer areas
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interaction
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times

Qualifications:
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Previous food service and/or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
  • Team-oriented mindset with strong leadership skills
  • Trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and flexible
