Job Summary:
Conexess Group is seeking a detail-oriented CICS Mainframe Engineer to oversee the installation, maintenance, and support of IBM mainframe systems with a focus on CICS. The role involves ensuring efficient operation of CICS environments, identifying and resolving issues, and providing support and training to users.
Responsibilities:
• CICS Installation and Maintenance: Perform installation, upgrades, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of CICS regions and related components on IBM mainframe systems.
• System Monitoring and Support: Monitor CICS systems and performance metrics to maintain uptime and optimize functionality.
• Debugging and Issue Resolution: Conduct root cause analysis and debugging to identify and resolve system issues promptly. Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot complex CICS-related problems.
• Documentation and Compliance: Document CICS configurations, maintenance activities, and issue resolutions. Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards.
• Optimization and Tuning: Perform CICS performance tuning, adjusting resources and settings to achieve optimal throughput and response times.
• User Support and Training: Provide technical support to application developers and other end-users of the mainframe system, ensuring they understand CICS utilities and best practices.
