Job description

Network Engineer – Level 3 Location: Anne Arundel County, Maryland Clearance: TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer Level 3 to support mission operations for our customer. This position requires an accomplished technical professional with deep experience in network architecture, engineering, troubleshooting, and secure infrastructure design within IC/DoW environments.

What We Are Looking For:

Education & Experience Requirements Candidates must meet one of the following qualification pathways:

Option 1 – Master's Degree Pathway

  • A Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

Option 2 – Bachelor's Degree Substitution

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related field.
  • PLUS an additional 2 years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support (for a total of 12 years).

Option 3 – Experience + Certification Substitution

  • In lieu of a Master's or Bachelor's degree:
    • An additional 6 years of relevant Network Engineering experience
    • AND at least one industry‑standard certification, such as:
      • Arista Configuration Essentials
      • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
      • Juniper Certification Tracks (Automation & DevOps, Cloud, Data Center, Design, Enterprise Routing & Switching, Junos Security, Service Provider Routing & Switching)
    • Combined for a total of 16 years of experience.

Certifications

  • An Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I baseline certification (as defined by DoD 8570.01‑M) is required, or the ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment.

Experience Requirements

  • Ten (10) years of relevant professional experience providing Network Engineering support.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training aligned with network engineering curriculum.
  • Strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise network infrastructures in secure operational environments.
