Job Summary

We are seeking an IAM Associate with experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM) operations, access provisioning, and identity governance. This role is responsible for managing secure and compliant access across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, systems, and data environments. The ideal candidate will support user lifecycle management, entitlement administration, access reviews, audit activities, and governance processes while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements. The position requires strong operational expertise, attention to detail, and experience working with modern IAM and IGA platforms.

In this role, you will:
  • Execute Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) processes, including user provisioning, deprovisioning, access modifications, and entitlement administration.
  • Support day-to-day IAM operations, incident management, access requests, and service delivery within defined SLAs.
  • Conduct periodic access reviews, certification campaigns, remediation activities, and access governance processes.
  • Support application onboarding, role modeling, RBAC implementation, Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls, and least-privilege access management.
  • Collaborate with business, application, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure appropriate access controls are maintained.
  • Generate audit reports, support evidence collection, and assist with internal and external audit activities.
  • Maintain IAM governance controls, process documentation, operational procedures, and compliance records.
  • Support regulatory compliance initiatives and remediation efforts related to access management findings and control gaps.
  • Monitor IAM platform performance and ensure adherence to security policies, governance standards, and access management best practices.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IAM processes, automation, and operational efficiency.
What you need to have to be considered
  • 6-8 years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Identity Governance, Access Management, or Security Operations roles.
  • Strong understanding of access provisioning, entitlement management, JML lifecycle processes, RBAC, SoD, and least-privilege principles.
  • Experience conducting access reviews, certification campaigns, audit support, and compliance reporting.
  • Hands-on experience with IAM/IGA platforms such as SailPoint IIQ/ISC, Saviynt, Okta, CyberArk, Microsoft Entra ID, One Identity Manager, Ping Identity, or similar solutions.
  • Experience working with Active Directory, ServiceNow, and enterprise access request workflows.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks including SOX, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST, and internal governance standards.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Experience supporting audit evidence preparation, remediation activities, and governance control maintenance.
  • Relevant certifications such as SailPoint, Saviynt, SC-300, Okta, CyberArk, Security+, or CISSP are preferred.

Salary and Other Compensation

The annual salary for this position is between $[134,000 - 154,500] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
