Join our team as an IV Pharmacy Technician, ensuring seamless medication delivery to long term care facilities. Our IV Pharmacy Technician will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile admixtures and compounding IV solutions while following 797 USP Standards. Our IV Pharmacy Technician plays a critical role in maintaining cleanroom standards, managing inventory and handling documentation. 

Location: Onsite at our Closed Door Pharmacy: 962 S Dorset Rd, Troy, OH 45373

Compensation: $18.00 + per hour (Depending on Experience and Licensing)

Schedule: Monday – Friday 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays

Report To: IV Pharmacy Technician Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:

  •  The ability to adhere to Remedi’s Code of Conduct, follow Remedi Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance Officer   
  • Filling IV orders to include, but not limited to, mixing IV medications, mathematically calculating doses, applying all sterile techniques as applicable to the job
  • Sending supplies and equipment to facilities
  • Maintaining all IV mixing records.
  • Performing regular cleaning and maintenance check on all equipment
  • Programming of all infusion pumps
  • Data entry of all applicable I.V. orders
  • Responsible for the ordering of supplies from various vendors
  • Perform other tasks as required
  • Perform technician assignments as requested by the pharmacy management
  • Maintain all IV pharmacy related equipment and supplies in the equipment rental log
  • Actively contributes to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies and procedures
  • Assists with ensuring safety policy and procedures are practiced and adhered.
  • Participates in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements
  • Ability to work with others in a positive productive manner anticipates and responds to the position’s areas of responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent required
  • Current National/State Pharmacy Certification preferred
  • Computer knowledge skills required, must understand medical terminology, math and analytical skills
  • Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
  • Sterile compounding experience preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written

  • Strong computer skills
  • Thorough understanding of medical terminology and drug knowledge
  • Math and analytical skills, with a focus on calculations
  • Minimum of two (2) years working in a long-term care pharmacy preferred but not required
