Overview:
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Oracle EPM Consultant with strong expertise in FDMEE, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Essbase, Planning, and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI). The role requires a mix of technical development, performance optimization, and client-facing responsibilities to support enterprise financial data integration and consolidation processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • FDMEE / ETL
    • Support ETL processes using FDMEE and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
    • Write and optimize SQL queries and FDMEE processes for performance.
    • Configure and maintain FDMEE mappings, load formats, workbench settings, and event scripts.
    • Troubleshoot FDMEE load scripts from tables and files.
    • Build open interface integrations between HFM, Planning, and other systems.
    • Monitor and maintain FDMEE jobs, workflows, patching, and upgrades.
  • Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
    • Design standard/custom dimensions, metadata load processes, member list/data loading and extraction.
    • Develop HFM data forms, folders, dynamic forms, grid and cell text.
    • Manage intercompany data elimination, HFM journals, adjustments, SmartView loading/management.
    • Perform data translation, currency translation, and consolidations.
    • Write multi-currency rules and manage reporting through SmartView and canned reports.
    • Migrate application data across environments using HFMCopy utility.
    • Troubleshoot HFM issues and provide effective workarounds.
  • Hyperion Essbase & Planning
    • Provide support for Essbase and Planning applications.
    • Ensure seamless integration between HFM, Planning, and other systems.
  • Collaboration & Leadership
    • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate requirements into FDMEE/HFM solutions.
    • Interact with Business and IT stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure smooth implementations.
    • Lead a team of Hyperion associates, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
    • Handle client interactions, provide status updates, and manage expectations.
    • Participate in stakeholder meetings to discuss and prioritize data integration requests.
  • Performance Optimization
    • Optimize execution time of interfaces and consolidations by implementing best practices.
    • Optimize ODI 12c loading into HFM, Anaplan, and Oracle 19C databases.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Strong experience with FDMEE, including scripting, mappings, load formats, and troubleshooting.
  • Hands-on expertise in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) - consolidations, multi-currency, metadata, journals, and SmartView.
  • Experience with Hyperion Essbase and Planning applications.
  • Strong proficiency with ODI 12c for ETL and integrations.
  • Expertise in SQL and database performance optimization (Oracle 19C).
  • Client-facing skills with proven ability to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Team leadership experience, mentoring and guiding Hyperion associates.
  • Solid background in cybersecurity, compliance, and financial data integration best practices.
