Job description

Role: Hyperion Consultant
Location: Lake Forest, CA
Duration: 12-24 month contract
Interview: Hire off Skype
Job Summary:
Facilitate the migration of Hyperion objects from Development to Production environments. Provide problem-solving and technical support for all Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, Fusion Edition components and troubleshoot and provide root cause analysis. Work closely with management and end-users to enhance application functionality.
Major Responsibilities:
Support & Maintenance - 50%
• Create/Maintain automation scripts, and maintain responsibility for creating and updating system documentation.
• Identify, implement and test patches and upgrades and maintain up-to-date documentation of Hyperion-related configuration.
• Trouble-shoot and resolve process, functional and technical issues.
• Create, modify and maintain BSO and ASO Essbase cubes in Essbase version 11.
• Create, modify, and maintain Hyperion Planning Applications.
• Investigate issues in reports or cubes and provide root cause analysis.
• Recommend corrective actions for technical systems issues, taking into account user needs and IT resources.
• Import and manipulate data from multiple disparate systems (SQL based, Flat files, Hyperion Enterprise, Essbase, Oracle).
• Monitor application performance, availability, and utilization.
• Maintain Accounting structure and outline metadata for online reporting.
• Schedule reports and scripts for automated runs.
• Provide user support, security and other ad hoc requests.
Development - 50%
• Develop standard Smartview or Hyperion reports based on user specifications.
• Develop and/or modify calculation scripts, business rules and Planning forms.
• Create load rules, batch, and ODI scripting.
• Create and maintain security, security filters and Shared Services.
• Work closely with management and end-users to develop and enhance the application processes to create a stable, productive environment.
• Hyperion experience and systems administration for the following Modules in a Unix environment:
- Hyperion Performance Management (v11.1.2.1)
- Hyperion Planning
- Hyperion Shared Services
- Hyperion Essbase Administration
- Hyperion Financial Reporting
• Experience with Financial and Operations Performance and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of Business Rules and Calc Scripts, Oracle Data Integrator, Hyperion Reports, and Smartview.
• Expertise in Microsoft applications preferred, including Microsoft Windows, Project, Excel, and Word.
• This job requires access to confidential and sensitive information, requiring ongoing discretion and secure information management.
• Must possess excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and written/oral communication skills.

Education/Experience Requirements:
• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or a related field.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the IT programming field.
• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience with Oracle Enterprise Performance Management System, Fusion Edition.
