Wound Care/Hyperbaric Clinic RN

Work location: Texas Health Stephenville Wound Care, 725 North Graham St. Stephenville, TX 76401

Work hours: Full Time, Days - Variable hours between 8A-5P M-F - No weekends/holidays- must be available to travel to Florida the first few weeks for training.

Texas Health Stephenville has a long history of providing quality care to the residents of Erath County and surrounding areas. The Wound Care Program at Texas Health Stephenville provides advanced therapies to care for wounds. Trained in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, the physicians on the medical staff and registered nurses navigate the complex process of wound healing by offering specialized intervention and treatment. The hospital has also been nationally recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, giving patients access to advances in technology and treatment. Our cardiovascular rehabilitation program focuses on treating cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases through education, prevention, rehabilitation, and disease management.

Here's what you need

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire required
  • 1 years as an RN required
  • BCLS - prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • CWCN or CHRN - within 60 days preferred 
  • Wound care experience preferred 

In addition to the required qualifications, a successful RN will 

  • demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude toward patients
  • possess a strong work ethic and always display a high level of professionalism
  • have basic computer skills using medical management application systems

What You Will Do 

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
assesses the patient
plans the care of the patient
intervenes as appropriate
evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
