Job description

  • You will ensure safe and reliable operations of mechanical and rotating equipment across Air Separation, CO, and Hydrogen production facilities
  • Plan and perform major mechanical work including installation, maintenance, overhauls, inspections, and corrective/preventive/predictive tasks
  • Maintain and troubleshoot rotating equipment including centrifugal, reciprocating, and screw compressors; centrifugal and positivedisplacement pumps; turbines; synchronous and induction motors; and highspeed gearboxes
  • Further, you will maintain and troubleshoot process equipment including heat exchangers, cryogenic interchangers, chillers, cooling towers, and piping systems
  • Provide onsite or remote technical support to regional facilities for mechanical and rotating equipment issues
  • Assist with turnaround planning and mechanical cost estimation for regional assets
  • Identify and resolve chronic mechanical issues and eliminate recurring equipment failures
  • Support root cause analysis for major mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
  • Address highimpact mechanical issues with urgency and technical accuracy
  • You will serve as regional mechanical reliability specialist supporting the Pittsburg, CA facility and multiple Westregion production sites
  • Also, you will perform combined office and field work with approximately 30% domestic travel and required offhours accessibility
  • Work in varied field conditions including accessing elevated equipment via ladders, scaffolding, manlifts, and crane baskets
