As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our manufacturing maintenance team, lead maintenance related projects to implement processes, tools and systems, and perform hands-on maintenance work and training. You can expect 70% of your time to be dedicated to leadership duties and 30% of your time on equipment maintenance.

What you’ll do at Tosoh Quartz.

  • Plan and schedule the activities of the maintenance group, including directing a team of 3 maintenance technicians on the maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Manage team adherence to Tosoh Quartz policies, including timekeeping, attendance, performance, etc.
  • Assess current processes, tools and guidelines, etc.; create system to prioritize and address findings.
  • Establish and adhere to predictive and preventative maintenance, ISO, and safety audit schedule of all maintenance tools and manufacturing equipment.
  • Document and maintain inventory of required parts, products, tools and supplies.
  • Ensure staff adheres to safety policies and procedures, including handling of acids, hydrogen gas, PPE (safety shoes, acid room protective gear).
  • Act as a technical expert for the maintenance team, providing guidance, training and support.
  • Maintain training matrix of skills, equipment, tools, etc. for the maintenance staff.
  • Work closely with safety, production and engineering staff to ensure efficient and accurate completion of all work.
  • Provide oversight of all incidents, equipment and tools. Direct and train staff in equipment repair and/or replacement.

Who you are.

Minimum requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 5 years of equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with 3 of those years at the senior level.
  • Experience with lathes, milling machines, saws, ovens, CNC machines, acid tanks, hydrogen systems, and piping.
  • Experience developing and implementing processes, systems, and tools.
  • Experience documenting processes and procedures.
  • Ability to document process and procedures used in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to use and understand maintenance test and measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, sketches, layouts, specifications, etc.
  • Intermediate computer skills.
