Job description

Interconnection Project Manager

Up to $68.13/hr - 18-month contract


Hydrogen Group is working with a leading utility client in Southern California to find an experienced Interconnection Project Manager for an exciting contract opportunity, paying up to $68.13 per hour.


In this role, you will manage a portfolio of 20+ interconnection and added facilities projects, with an average project value of $5-6 million each. Projects include connecting large energy producers to the transmission grid and extending grid infrastructure to serve major industrial customers, such as large-scale manufacturing facilities.


Key responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of a large portfolio of interconnection projects, ensuring commitments on scope, budget, and schedule are met
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for both internal stakeholders and external customers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Facilitate and lead large construction and project meetings with multiple stakeholders
  • Proactively identify risks and drive resolution to keep projects on track

What you'll need:

  • Proven construction project management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate large, complex project meetings
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Nice to have:

  • PMP certification or equivalent project management qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Experience within the electric utility or energy sector
