Are you a motivated and creative Site Development Project Engineer with a passion for innovation, sustainable design, and environmental responsibility? Join a leading design firm! GRW has a career opportunity available for a Site Development Project Engineer in our Louisville, or Lexington office.

GRW is looking for individuals eager to develop their technical skills and work on teams with other dedicated employees to complete the projects our clients need. Qualified candidates are eligible for a highly competitive compensation package with hiring bonus.

GRW is seeking the following qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Master of Science in Civil Engineering required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification required. Kentucky preferred or ability to obtain.
  • Project management experience working with a team of engineers and designers to complete successful projects on time and within budget.
  • 5-10 years of site development design experience in a consulting environment including site design, cost estimating, hydrology, grading, and utility design.
  • Must have a thorough understanding of land development. (including site grading, sanitary and storm sewer servicing, water servicing, shallow utility coordination, road, and parking design).
  • A strong working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an asset including Storm Sewers and Hydroflow for hydrology design.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual possessing strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must exhibit attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be able to coordinate engineering requirements with other disciplines.
  • Must work well in a team environment and have a collaborative approach.
  • Lead and be responsible for the preparation of Site Development Engineering drawings. This may include technical review and professional stamping of engineering design drawings. It also includes the preparation of construction specifications and tender documents.
  • Guide projects through to completion including preliminary/conceptual design, detailed design, scheduling, tendering and construction.
  • Coordinate designs with stormwater management engineers and incorporate stormwater designs into land development drawings.
  • Liaise with clients (internal and external), agencies and others to obtain and determine project requirements, permits, and approvals.
  • Ensure that client needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure projects meet applicable specifications and standards as per the governing municipality.
  • Coordinate work of junior land development staff and review their deliverables.
  • Be the main client contact on the project(s).
  • Be responsible for each project schedule, budget, and reporting.
