Job description

Position Summary


We are seeking an experiencedSenior Construction Representative to support the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation Project, a major industrial construction project valued at approximately $90 million. This position provides field-based quality assurance, construction inspection, and project oversight services.


This role provides construction quality assurance (QA) inspection services in an advisory capacity to ensure contractor work meets all specifications, safety standards, and contract requirements.


This position is contingent upon contract award.This position requires passing an extensive background check.


Key Responsibilities


  • Perform daily construction inspections and quality assurance reviews.
  • Verify contractor compliance with plans, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements.
  • Review contractor quality control reports and document findings in RMS.
  • Track deficiencies, RFIs, and corrective actions.
  • Attend construction meetings, inspections, and safety reviews.
  • Review submittals, as-built drawings, and progress documentation.
  • Prepare daily reports and recommendations regarding work acceptance.
  • Mentor junior staff and support project closeout activities.


Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of construction industry experience.
  • Experience in industrial construction, welding, machining, or similar heavy construction environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance inspections and contract compliance.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR and USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) training within two months of hire.


Schedule

Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Day, evening, or night shifts based on project needs. Must be willing to work flexible schedules, including routine Saturdays.


Duration
Full-time assignment supporting the Old Hickory Turbine Generator Rehabilitation Project. Initial 12-month term with the potential for annual extensions up to a total of 5 years based on project needs and contract funding.


Physical Requirements


  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolding, and work at heights.
  • Ability to navigate active construction sites and uneven terrain.


Preferred Qualifications


  • USACE project experience.
  • Experience with RMS and Quality Assurance Reporting.
  • Background in hydroelectric, dam, lock, power generation, or large industrial construction projects.
