Depassement et defis stimulants:

Dans le cadre de tes fonctions, tu auras la chance de cotoyer les sommites du domaine de la simulation et de travailler avec des outils a la fine pointe de la technologie. Tes clients externes seront les fabricants, les entreprises en ingenierie, les producteurs d'electricite (tel qu'Hydro-Quebec) et les operateurs de reseau de transport et de distribution.

En tant que FAE pour le Support essentiel, tu feras de la mise en service, de l'integration, du support client et de la formation clients;

Notre equipe d'ingenieurs d'application possede de bonnes connaissances techniques ainsi que de tres bonnes aptitudes en communication et en resolution de problemes. Ce sontces aptitudes qu'ils recherchent en leur futur collegue.

Tu travaillerais environ 85% du temps dans nos bureaux de Montreal et tu seras appele a te deplacer environ 15% chez nos clients, entre autres aux Etats-Unis.

Responsabilites principales:

• Offrir du support a propos de nos produits electroniques et logiciels;
• Faire de la mise en service et de la formation;
• Faire l'integration de nos produits chez les clients;
• Faire des essais a l'interne.

Exigences:

• Scolarite: Baccalaureat en genie electrique, idealement avec une specialisation ou une exposition aux systemes electriques de puissance;
• Experience: 1 a 2 ans d'experience pertinente minimalement. Les stages, experiences coop ou experiences pratiques en systemes electriques, simulation ou environnement utilitaire sont un atout important;
• Connaissances requises :
  • Fondamentaux des systemes electriques de puissance.
  • Production, transport et distribution de l'energie electrique.
  • Systemes de protection et controle.
  • Electronique de puissance et integration des energies renouvelables.
  • Modelisation et simulation de reseaux electriques.
  • Connaissance de MATLAB/Simulink et d'outils similaires.
• Connaissances linguistiques: La connaissance de l'Anglais est requise pour la communication avec nos clients internationaux.
• Competences recherchees:passion pour la resolution de problemes; aimer les defis et avoir une bonne capacite a travailler sous pression;exceller en relations interpersonnelles et/ou en service a la clientele.
  

Atouts :

• Experience aupres de services publics, de firmes d'ingenierie-conseil, d'EPC ou d'environnements industriels lies aux systemes electriques.
• Connaissance de la simulation temps reel et des essais Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL).
• Connaissance de protocoles de communication tels que IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus ou equivalents.
• Familiarite avec les relais de protection, l'automatisation des postes electriques et les technologies reseau modernes.
• Connaissance des relais de protection (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens) et des etudes de reseaux electriques (ecoulement de puissance, courts-circuits, stabilite transitoire et qualite de l'energie).
• Experience dans le domaine des services publics d'electricite, des firmes d'ingenierie-conseil, des EPC, des systemes electriques industriels, des projets d'energies renouvelables ou des laboratoires de recherche specialises en systemes electriques de puissance.

Achievements and stimulating challenges:

As part of your duties, you will have the chance to meet the leaders in the field of simulation and to work with tools on the cutting edge of technology. Your external customers will be manufacturers, engineering companies, electricity producers (such as Hydro-Quebec) and transmission and distribution network operators.

As a FAE for the Essential Support team, you will do commissioning, integration, customer support and customer training;

Our team of application engineers has good technical knowledge as well as very good communication and problem solving skills. These are the skills they are looking for in their future colleague.

You would work approximately 85% of the time in our Montreal offices and you will be called upon to travel approximately 15% to our customers, including in the United States.

Main Responsibilities :

• To provide support for our electronic products and software;
• To do customer commissioning and trainings;
• To integrate our products to customers;
• To do some internal testing.
  

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a specialization in or exposure to electric power systems.
• Experience: Minimum 1 to 2 years of relevant experience. Internships, co-op placements, or hands-on experience in power systems, simulation, or utility environments are considered significant assets.
• Required Knowledge:
  • Fundamentals of electric power systems;
  • Electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution;
  • Protection and control systems;
  • Power electronics and renewable energy integration;
  • Power grid modeling and simulation;
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink and similar tools.
• Language Requirements:English is required for communication with our international customers.
• Desired Skills: Passion for problem-solving; Enjoys challenges and performs well under pressure; Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Assets:

• Experience with utilities, engineering consulting firms, EPCs, or industrial environments related to electrical power systems;
• Knowledge of real-time simulation and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing;
• Familiarity with communication protocols such as IEC 61850, DNP3, Modbus, or equivalent;
• Experience with protection relays, substation automation, and modern networking technologies;
• Knowledge of protection relays (SEL, GE, ABB, Siemens) and power system studies (load flow, short-circuit analysis, transient stability, and power quality);
• Experience in electric utilities, engineering consulting firms, EPC organizations, industrial power systems, renewable energy projects, or research laboratories specializing in electric power systems.
