Job description

The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company is seeking a Unit Checker to join our growing team!

Essential Job Functions:

  • Drive to and from job sites in assigned territory.
  • Complete pre-flight of projects; including pictures, identified hazards, and any other items that might be required by the General Foreman to determine the project viability.
  • Properly unitize all projects which includes pre-unitizing all locations, reporting all estimates to General Foreman, Project Manager, Project Coordinator, and Superintendent, post-unitizing all locations
  • Work with facilitators to get signed ASBUILT
  • Create partial and final billing packages in alignment with customer requirements including pictures, signed prints, crew information and work packages
  • Create partial and final AR billing packages which includes proper job numbers, crew information, and signed prints
  • Record and submit all Hydaker-Wheatlake and Utility (customer) documentation.
  • Ensure that all safety policies, rules, and regulations are followed.
  • Act as a representative of The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company in the community.
  • Maintain harmonious relations with everyone associated to The Hydaker-Wheatlake Company's projects.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2-5 years of experience in Electrical Construction
  • Preferred DTE Unitization Experience
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Proficient with Adobe PDF Editor
