HYDAC's passionate team designs and manufactures a comprehensive line of innovative and reliable solutions optimized for any demand our customers require.
The Key Account Manager is responsible to develop and attain business opportunities with new customers, along with maintaining and growing business with assigned accounts. Accounts will primarily be direct in nature but could include distribution partners' accounts as well.
You will make an impact in this role in various aspects:
  • Oversee and manage customer relationships in assigned region.
  • Increase sales and profit margins with assigned accounts.
  • Develop new customers.
  • Responsible to implement HYDAC Corporate Sales Strategy and keeping CRM update for assigned accounts.
  • Effectively communicate market trends and product competitiveness to management and new business. New business opportunities should also be communicated to the Product Managers for review as required.
  • Review lost opportunities to provide feedback to manage for pricing, product, service/support, and sales strategy.
  • Submit a monthly report to consist of target account updates, quotation feedback, and distributor updates and training.
  • Provide HYDAC Corporate with other status changes, as well as forecast feedback at major OEM accounts.
  • Ensure CRM data is accurate and current for team.
  • Responsible for setting sales goals, including new business targets and objectives for the assigned account and report on progress.
  • Develop and implementation of respective sales plans.
  • Responsible for coordinating internal resources (i.e. - Product Managers) as required to support account. If account is being supported by a distributor, responsible for working with distributor to coordinate support for HYDAC products and solutions.

Requirements
Key skills and attributes include:
  • Highly motivated, hunter mentality.
  • Knowledge and experience in the Oil and Gas market is preferred.
  • Technical capability to understand and recommend hydraulic circuits and solutions.
  • Ability to develop value proposition for HYDAC and it's products/solutions.
  • Ability to develop and foster customer relationships.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop cross-functional relationships.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including writing business correspondence, reports, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic direct.
  • Ability to use the Internet, Project Management software, spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow sales in a designated territory.
  • Customer empathy/customer advocate mentality.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and close prospect accounts.
  • Willingness to travel (25%).
  • Ability to work independently and to set daily priorities and workload.

To be considered for the Key Account Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) required.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Hydraulics knowledge.
  • Oil and Gas experience preferred.
  • 5 year minimum of sales experience selling an engineered product.
