Regional MDS Nurse (RN)

Hybrid | Northern VA & Southern Maryland | Travel Required

GreenTree Healthcare Management is seeking an experienced Regional MDS RN to support multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities across the region.

REQUIRED: Minimum 1 year of Regional MDS experience overseeing multiple facilities. Applications without regional experience will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Regional oversight of MDS 3.0 assessments

  • Ensure compliance with CMS & RAI guidelines

  • Optimize PDPM / Medicare / Medicaid reimbursement

  • Conduct MDS audits for accuracy & timeliness

  • Train and mentor new and current MDS Coordinators and IDT teams

  • Address and prevent MDS survey deficiencies

  • Stay updated on regulatory changes and communicate implications to facility teams

Qualifications

  • Active RN license (Compact preferred)

  • 3–5+ years MDS experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)

  • 1+ year Regional MDS oversight experience (required)

  • Strong knowledge of PDPM, RAI, CMS regulations

  • Willingness to travel throughout Northern VA & Southern Maryland

  • Excellent training, mentoring, and leadership abilities

  • Proficient in MDS software and EMR systems
