Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced GCP Lead Principal Cloud Architect to join a long-term consulting engagement in Irvine, CA. This is a 100% onsite role requiring a senior, client-facing architect who can act as a trusted CTO-level advisor, driving cloud strategy and enterprise architecture initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and extensive experience designing and governing enterprise-scale cloud solutions. This is not an AWS or Azure-focused role—the client is specifically seeking a GCP expert.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary cloud architecture advisor for the client.
  • Define and drive enterprise cloud architecture strategy using Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Design, govern, and communicate cloud, application, infrastructure, and security architectures.
  • Lead cloud transformation initiatives across multi-cloud and hybrid environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance to stakeholders and engineering teams.
  • Establish cloud governance, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with business and technical leadership to align cloud solutions with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate existing environments and recommend modernization strategies.
