Job description

Mechanical Engineer (Hybrid)We're partnering with a well-established Architecture & Engineering firm in Northern Virginia seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their collaborative team.

This hybrid opportunity offers the chance to work on a diverse portfolio of renovation and facility improvement projects, including work with some large, well-established clients. The firm is known for its long-standing client relationships, with several partnerships spanning 30-40 years.

ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems and support plumbing design for a variety of renovation and facility improvement projects.

Prepare complete construction documents, including plans, specifications, and supporting calculations.

Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, and interior design teams throughout project development.

Perform construction administration for projects throughout Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year university. EIT required; PE preferred.6-12 years of mechanical engineering design experience.

Experience designing mechanical systems with a willingness to learn and perform plumbing design.

Experience preparing complete construction documents.

Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple disciplines.

Candidates local to the Northern Virginia area are preferred.
