The General Maintenance Engineer is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, meeting spaces, and public areas. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hotel maintenance experience and the ability to work independently during overnight hours. Preferred applicant will have experience working in a hotel, with experience working with vinyl wallcovering installation and repairs, drywall, woodworking, door repairs, painting and tile work.

What We're Looking For:

  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs in guest rooms, meeting spaces, and front-of-house areas.
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks on guest rooms and public areas to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Address repair needs for mechanical, electrical, kitchen, and laundry equipment with appropriate skills and tools.
  • Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests, providing excellent customer service.
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks comply with safety and operational standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storage of tools and supplies.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and management to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist with additional maintenance projects or duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of hotel maintenance experience required.

  • Experienced with vinyl, wallcovering installation and repairs, drywall, woodworking, door repairs, painting, and tile work.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Excellent customer service skills to interact professionally with guests and staff.

  • Attention to detail, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues.

  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
