Job description

Job Title: HVAC/Refrigeration Technician
Location: On-site Andover, MA
Shift: 3rd Shift (TuesSat, 11:00 PM 7:30 AM)


Overview

Seeking a skilled HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to support a multi-building campus. This role combines hands-on maintenance with system monitoring and CMMS documentation. Ideal candidates are strong troubleshooters with experience in HVAC-R systems, BAS, and computerized work order systems.


Responsibilities
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC/R systems (chillers, cooling towers, VAVs, heat exchangers)
  • Respond to alarms, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment
  • Install and service HVAC units, pumps, motors, compressors, piping, and controls
  • Record system data, track work orders, and document all activities in CMMS
  • Report equipment conditions and support larger repair projects
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain clean, organized work areas
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergencies

Required Qualifications
  • Active Massachusetts Refrigeration Technician License
  • EPA certification
  • Experience with chillers, cooling towers, and BAS
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of HVAC/mechanical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and building codes
  • Proficiency with CMMS and basic computer systems
  • Valid drivers license

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and access rooftops
