Department: Service

Reports to: Service Manager

Job Description/Qualifications:

Perform maintenance, repairs, and installation of heating, cooling, ventilation and refrigeration systems to include, but not limited to ice machines, walk-in/reach-in coolers/freezers, RTUs, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, make-up air fans, and controls. Must have electrical knowledge as it relates to HVAC/R Equipment and controls. Ability to read electrical schematics. Ability to read/interpret blueprints. Must be able to participate on an on-call rotation for emergency service. Well versed with smart devices (e.g. Android phone and tablet) is a plus.

This position requires a minimum 3 - 10 years of on the job experience. Relies on direction from management and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and the ability to work and communicate with peers and customers.

An individual must show a willingness to continue developing skills in the trade as part of the continued learning process. Also the individual who holds this position may be required to take part in continued related course work.

Must maintain a safe and acceptable driving record at all times.

Able to assist with office related duties such as collection calls, shipping and receiving, shop maintenance and other related operational duties when necessary.

Physical Requirements:

Lifting (approx 50 lbs.), climbing ladders and stairs; bending or stooping; extended periods of walking; regular exposure to weather conditions; operate motor vehicles; and ability to operate power and/or hand tools. Drive a van
