Job description

HVAC Project Manager

Project manager with experience in the Commercial & Light Industrial HVAC fieldย to oversee new projects for a commercial HVAC company.

You as a HVAC project manager will be responsible for assessing the site of a new HVAC installation. Must be able to create a definitive list of the materials & equipment, sheet metal and labor that will be necessary to complete a project to the clientโ€™s specifications.

As a HVAC project manager, you will not necessarily be involved in the hands-on completion of an HVAC system installation. Instead, as a HVAC project manager you will be responsible for interfacing with the clients while the project is being completed, coordinating all the different people responsible for various HVAC design elements, and for ensuring the entire project meets construction standards.

As a project manager you will handle on-site duties once the project is awarded and set up in our system.

Some Other Responsibilities:

Maintain Project Drawings, Procurement, RFI and submittal logs

Assemble, review, distribute equipment, materials and method submittals

Assist Purchasing Manager with pricing materials and changes orders estimates

Compose RFI's to improve project profitability

Collect and review time, material and work orders

Review outstanding change orders

Work with subcontractors

Assist Foreman with daily schedule & building the project per plan and spec, daily communication and procuring materials and equipment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Experience with PROCOR is a plus.

Team Management

Develop, establish, and administer procedures and systems pertaining to team management matters

Prepare workload, sales forecasts and team resources/schedule for administrative and managerial functions

Project Work Forecasting

Provide workload forecasting as new projects are secured and provide progress analysis regarding prospective unsecured projects

Client Liaison/Communication

Serve as the principal liaison with selected clients or major projects

Utilize the quality assurance and control programs in the company

Assure adequate field review services are provided to ensure adherence of contract documents

3 years minimum of MEP/HVAC and construction Project Management experience required.

Superior interpersonal skills with clients and staff

Demonstrated leadership abilities

Project budgeting skills

Able to promptly resolve team management problems

Organized with exceptional prioritization skills and the ability to effectively balance conflicting priorities

Time management skills; able to complete commitments in an accurate and timely manner
