Must haves:

  • 5+ years of project management experience handling HVAC or construction projects, including project schedule
  • Experience with MS Suite
  • Experience with Project Management software or financial accounting systems
  • Open to some travel dependent on project assignment (15%)

Plusses:

  • Management of projects related to Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC Controls, BAS/BMS systems, Fire management or security management systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or comparable years of professional experience in one of these industries  
  • Leadership experience
  • PMI or PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional) certification is preferred 

Day to day:

Insight Global is seeking a strong Project Manager for one of our top HVAC clients in the Madison, WI area. This role is a long term opportunity with a fortune 500 company. This role will lead large mechanical construction projects and will work onsite, outside of traveling to customer sites as needed. These HVAC controls projects range in scale and are around $1M or more. Therefore this individual will need to be tenured enough to navigate the complexities of small to large projects. Additional requirements include the ability to work with the branch installation manager and teams as needed to provide support throughout the entire project, and help provide input on scope enhancements, value engineering, risk assessment, etc as needed. You will also be responsible for ensuring that projects are done accurately, on-time, billed and budgeted within the scope of the contract. A component of overseeing that the work performed is in compliance with the state, local, and federal regulations is maintained. This position is open due to internal growth and internal promotions.
