We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Commercial HVAC Project Technician to join our installation and retrofit team in the Memphis, TN market. In this role, you will execute the installation of complex commercial heating, cooling, ventilation, and refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate possesses experience in welding. You will work on high-profile retrofit projects, transforming older systems into modern, energy-efficient operations while working collaboratively alongside our project teams.

Requirements:

Key Abilities

  • Equipment Installation: Ability to install a wide range of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment including chillers, air      handlers, condensers, package units, boilers, and exhaust systems.
  • Refrigeration Systems: Ability to hook up, pipe, and commission commercial walk-in freezers and coolers.
  • Welding & Fabrication: Ability to weld piping systems according to local mechanical codes.
  • Ductwork Installation: Ability to install and modify ductwork systems to ensure optimal airflow and system balance.
  • Retrofit Execution: Ability to assist with the demolition and removal of legacy HVAC infrastructure and adapt existing setups for new technology.
  • Collaboration: Work seamlessly with coworkers, project managers, and other trades to meet deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in commercial HVAC installation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in welding (TIG/MIG/Stick) and brazing techniques.
  • Physical Fitness: Capability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight or elevated spaces.
  • Compliance: Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check.
  • Driving Record: Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving history.
  • Soft Skills: Outstanding team player with a respectable, professional demeanor when interacting with clients and      peers.
  • Added Plus: Experience with commercial pipefitting layout and assembly is a strong plus.
