Job Title: HVAC Technician (Entry Level)Job Description

This entry-level HVAC Technician role offers the opportunity to build a long-term career in the HVAC field while working closely with customers, managers, and sales engineers. You will deliver, install, and service rental HVAC equipment, ensure safe and proper operation, and provide professional customer support. This position is ideal for someone mechanically inclined with some experience in HVAC or a related service role who is ready to grow their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate professionally with customers, managers, and sales engineers to schedule deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls.
  • Deliver rented HVAC equipment to customer sites and ensure timely, accurate installation.
  • Install HVAC rental equipment safely and train authorized operators on the proper and safe use of the equipment.
  • Direct customers to review and sign all required paperwork and maintain accurate records of serial numbers and equipment details.
  • Troubleshoot the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of rental HVAC equipment to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Operate the company vehicle safely at all times and follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Clean, inspect, and test returned HVAC equipment to ensure that operation and appearance meet established standards before re-rental.
  • Complete all paperwork related to deliveries, pick-ups, and service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Install flexible gas hoses for both propane and natural gas applications, following proper installation techniques.
  • Implement proper and safe procedures to check gas connections and verify that all connections meet safety requirements.
  • Collaborate with managers and sales engineers to maintain accurate records and tracking of in-stock and rented equipment.
  • Provide on-call emergency service on a rotating schedule for weekends and evenings as needed.
  • Work in the shop to keep the workspace organized, clean, and safe, supporting efficient operations.
  • Support preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks on HVAC rental equipment as assigned.
Essential Skills
  • 1–2 years of experience in a service-related role interacting directly with customers.
  • Basic math skills to handle measurements, calculations, and documentation accurately.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
