Mechanical Designer (MEP) – Raleigh, NC

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and healthcare projects. This role collaborates with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality construction documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop HVAC and plumbing system layouts using CAD/BIM software
  • Prepare construction drawings, schedules, and details
  • Perform load calculations and equipment sizing
  • Coordinate designs with electrical, structural, and architectural teams
  • Review submittals and assist during construction administration
  • Ensure designs comply with codes and project requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • EIT or PE preferred but not required
  • 2-20 years of MEP design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit
  • Familiarity with HVAC load calculation software
  • Knowledge of building codes and industry standards
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
