We’re Hiring: Experienced HVAC Instructor

Join the ACVOLT Tech School Team

ACVOLT Tech School is seeking an experienced, knowledgeable, and passionate HVAC Instructor to join our team as an Independent Contractor (1099).

If you have years of real-world HVAC experience and enjoy mentoring, teaching, and inspiring others, we’d love to hear from you. We’re looking for someone who is confident in the field, communicates effectively, and is passionate about helping students build successful careers in the skilled trades.

Required Qualifications

  • EPA 608 Universal Certification (Required)
  • NATE Certification (Required)
  • HVAC Excellence Certification (Required)
  • Several years of hands-on HVAC field experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Professional, dependable, and passionate about teaching
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Instructor, you will:

  • Teach adult students of all ages and experience levels
  • Deliver engaging classroom instruction and hands-on demonstrations
  • Answer advanced technical HVAC questions with confidence and accuracy
  • Demonstrate proper installation, troubleshooting, service, and repair techniques
  • Mentor, encourage, and motivate students throughout their training
  • Help prepare students for industry certifications and successful careers in the HVAC industry
  • Foster a positive, professional, and encouraging learning environment

Online Teaching & Media Responsibilities

As one of our instructors, you will also contribute to our online educational platform by helping deliver high-quality training both in person and online.

Responsibilities include:

  • Teaching live Zoom classes
  • Recording educational HVAC lessons for our online students and social media platforms
  • Presenting technical information clearly and professionally on camera
  • Helping create engaging educational content that supports our students’ learning experience

Applicants should be comfortable speaking in front of a camera and presenting to both live and virtual audiences.

Experience creating educational content is highly preferred, and having an established social media presence or following is considered a strong advantage, but is not required.

Schedule

  • 28 guaranteed hours per week
  • An additional 8 hours per week are available for those who would like extra work
  • Combination of weekday, evening, and weekend teaching hours

Compensation

  • $50 per hour
  • Independent Contractor (1099)
  • No health benefits
