Mobile HVAC Engineer Austin, TX Area

Are you an experienced HVAC professional looking for a role that offers independence, variety, and the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial facilities? We are seeking a skilled Mobile HVAC Engineer to join our growing team supporting clients throughout the Austin area.

This is a field-based position where you'll work from a company-provided service vehicle, traveling directly from home to assigned sites each day. You'll support approximately 100-150 commercial locations across a portfolio of 40+ clients, with dispatching designed to keep assignments as close to your home area as possible.

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

This position includes an on-call rotation. Most after-hours support is handled by phone, and if you're available to assist, you'll provide guidance or respond as needed.

What You'll Do
  • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems

  • Diagnose and repair rooftop units, split systems, package units, refrigeration equipment, and related controls

  • Handle light electrical and light plumbing repairs as needed

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair building systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation

  • Complete building repairs including lighting, fixtures, flooring, walls, and other facility components

  • Respond to service requests and work orders while providing excellent customer service

  • Update work orders in real time using CMMS systems such as Corrigo

  • Conduct facility inspections and identify opportunities to improve reliability and performance

  • Maintain accurate service records and submit required documentation daily

What We're Looking For
  • Universal EPA/CFC Certification required

  • Minimum 4 years of commercial building maintenance or HVAC/R experience

  • Strong troubleshooting skills in HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, and plumbing systems

  • Experience with commercial refrigeration and/or supermarket refrigeration systems preferred

  • Working knowledge of building mechanical and electrical systems

  • Experience using CMMS or work order management systems

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

  • High School Diploma or GED required
