NY Building Systems Consultant Inc. (NYBSC) is a Professional Engineering and Energy Consulting Company. It was formed by industry professionals that each has a more than 10 yearsโ€™ experience. NYBSC Energy and Engineering team is comprised of individuals with complete industry certifications including NYS & CTS Registered Professional Engineers (PE), Existing Building Commissioning Professional (EBCP), Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) and Certified Energy Manager (CEM).

We are currently seeking Senior HVAC Engineer for our design and build team in our New York City office. Equal Employment Opportunity is a vital component of our company culture and our success. We offer a competitive salary, vacation, and personal days.
Experience: You should have demonstrated experience in at least five of the following areas:

ยท Load calculations and some Energy modeling experience

ยท Design mechanical systems including: heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation and controls.

ยท Familiarity with codes, specifically NYCECC, CMR, IMC, ASHRAE standards 55, 62.1, 90.1

ยท Familiar with LL97, LL87, energy auditing and commissioning.

ยท Prepare contract drawings detailing the designed systems using AutoCAD.

ยท Select equipment for use in building systems.

ยท Manage a small project, work area or technical skill set, monitor quality of work, and is involved in client liaison.

Requirements:

ร˜ Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a sound knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals.

ร˜ 4+ years of experience in commercial and residential HVAC design.

ร˜ PE License preferred.

ร˜ LEED AP preferred.

ร˜ Experience in Revit preferred.

ร˜ Proven interest in the field of building design and energy savings.
