Salary Range: $75,000 - $130,000
About:
This role is responsible for driving the specification and sales of HVAC equipment, laboratory and critical room airflow control systems, indoor air quality solutions, and other specialty systems by engaging design engineering firms and building owners. The position focuses on consultative selling, effectively communicating unique product advantages and value propositions, and developing strategic account plans by customer and product type. Key responsibilities include leveraging manufacturer-provided sales and budgeting tools, customizing presentations to meet project-specific needs, managing leads and opportunities within a CRM, and supporting project teams from initial design through project turnover. The role requires collaboration within a team environment, ongoing participation in manufacturer training, and active involvement in project review and turnover meetings to ensure customer satisfaction, budget adherence, and successful project execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Call on design engineering firms and owners to influence the specifications and sales of HVAC equipment, Laboratory and Critical Room Airflow Controls systems, Indoor Air Quality Controls Systems, and other specialty equipment and systems.
  • Effectively market unique product advantages,
  • Develop strategic account plans for each customer to generate sales by product type
  • Utilize manufacturer provide sales tools to make presentations to clients. Modify presentations specific to customer and project needs
  • Track and manage customers, leads, and opportunities in a CRM
  • Utilize manufacturer provided sales tools to budget initial costs, operating costs, and energy savings for clients
  • Effectively market unique product advantages and value propositions
  • Attend manufacturer training classes
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Utilize a consultive selling approach (such as Sandler)
  • Support project operations teams through the duration of a project to ensure customer satisfaction and keep projects on budget
  • Attend project turnover meetings to review pricing, project specifications, and project goals and needs

Experience and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field related experience
  • 3 years of successful experience in HVAC Sales, BAS Sales, or related industry experience
  • Understanding of HVAC Systems, energy efficiency strategies, mechanical plans\specification, and Building Automation Systems
  • Familiarity with BAS communication protocols and systems such as BACnet, Tridium, and other industry protocols
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and also with others
