Specializing in the optimization of complex building systems, our team's diversified skill set provides value to our clients from the design stages of new construction all the way through operating existing buildings. Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. As part of the Ambient Enterprises family of brands, the DMG North team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
The HVAC Service Technician is a hybrid role, specializes in the start-up and service of equipment for a variety of applications of air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control and energy management AND remote PT. We are searching for both experienced and entry-level HVAC technicians to help support the growing service business. The candidate must be able to troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, be dependable and have good customer service skills. This role would service our Fresno area.
Hybrid Responsibilities:
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems and equipment.
  • Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
  • Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
  • Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
  • Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
  • Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
  • Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
  • Assisting with customers' queries in a professional manner.

The duties of this position include the following.
Service Ticket Administration
  • Assist customers by creating tickets and/or assist customers with creating their own tickets for the following:
    • Technical Support
    • Warranty Support
    • Scheduling on-site service support
  • Tier 1 Technical Support
  • Prompt support phone line response
    • Answer the call as best as possible to mitigate calls going to voicemail
    • Provide customers with technical support assistance
    • Route calls to parts team as needed
    • Route calls to warranty team as needed
    • Route calls to service dispatcher for scheduling as needed
  • Create cases and escalate to Tier 2 technical support to resolve issues in a timely manner.

Requirements:
  • Field experience with commercial heating and air conditioning.
  • Must have knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, water source heat pumps & rooftop packaged HVAC systems.
  • Expected to travel 50% of the time to anywhere in the entire state California
  • EPA Type 1 & 2 of universal certification
  • Must have your own hand tools.
  • Must have a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred).
  • Must be able to:
    • Lift up to 50lbs
    • Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
    • Stand for long periods of time.
    • Bend or twist their body.
    • Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.
    • Repeat the same movements.
