Overview

We are seeking a Regional Installation Manager with strong HVAC Controls experience to oversee and support installations of advanced energy-saving systems throughout the Northeast. This role blends technical HVAC controls expertise with project management leadership, offering an opportunity to make a real impact in the transition toward smarter, more sustainable buildings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee installation and commissioning of HVAC control systems, energy management systems (EMS/BAS), and related energy efficiency measures.
  • Manage subcontractors, project schedules, and budgets to ensure high-quality, on-time installations.
  • Work closely with controls engineers, electricians, and mechanical contractors to coordinate system integration and verify performance.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and technical communication.
  • Support troubleshooting and optimization of control sequences, communication networks, and field devices.
  • Conduct quality checks, pre- and post-inspections, and ensure compliance with safety and commissioning standards.
  • Develop installation protocols, process improvements, and documentation for repeatable success.
  • Provide field support and guidance on DDC, BAS, and HVAC control strategies, ensuring system functionality aligns with design intent.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, Construction Management, or related field โ€” or equivalent field experience.
  • 3+ years of experience managing installation projects involving HVAC systems, BAS, or controls integration.
  • Solid understanding of HVAC sequences of operation, low-voltage wiring, sensors, and control systems.
  • Proven leadership and coordination skills working with multi-trade installation teams.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.) and familiarity with BAS platforms (Niagara, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Distech, etc.).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced project environments.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and best practices for HVAC and electrical installations.

Preferred:

  • Masterโ€™s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or Business Administration.
  • Professional certifications (PMP, CEM, LEED AP, or equivalent).
  • Experience with energy efficiency retrofit projects, controls commissioning, or utility incentive programs.
