  • Permanent fixed or roll‐down storm shutters
  • Impact‐resistant windows and doors

Job Summary

RollShield is seeking experienced, professional in-home sales closers who know how to build trust, conduct a structured presentation, create value, overcome objections, and ask for the sale.

This is not an entry-level sales position. We are looking for proven sales professionals who can confidently meet with homeowners and convert qualified, company-provided appointments into profitable sales.

For more than 20 years, RollShield’s sales team maintained an annual closing ratio above 70%, while one salesperson consistently achieved closing ratios as high as 84%.

We have the products, reputation, manufacturing capabilities, installation crews, and lead opportunities. We need disciplined professionals who know how to run an appointment and close.

About RollShield

RollShield is Tampa Bay’s largest hurricane-shutter manufacturers and a leading provider of residential and commercial home-improvement products.

Our extensive product line allows qualified sales representatives to offer customers multiple solutions, including:

  • Hurricane shutters
  • Impact windows and doors
  • Crimsafe security and hurricane screens
  • Retractable screens
  • Sunrooms and screen rooms
  • Pergolas and patio products
  • Commercial glazing
  • Curtain-wall systems
  • Interior glass and mirrors

Because we manufacture and install many of the products we sell, our representatives have the opportunity to provide customers with dependable, customized solutions backed by an established local company.

Responsibilities:

  • Run qualified, company-provided appointments throughout the Tampa Bay area.
  • Arrive on time and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Build rapport and establish trust with homeowners.
  • Conduct a thorough discovery process before recommending products.
  • Identify the customer’s needs, concerns, motivations, and decision criteria.
  • Present RollShield’s products and services clearly and professionally.
  • Explain product value instead of relying primarily on price.
  • Provide accurate measurements, pricing, proposals, and contract information.
  • Ask for the sale and professionally handle objections.
  • Follow up consistently with customers who do not purchase during the initial appointment.
  • Maintain accurate customer and appointment records in the company CRM.
  • Communicate promptly with customers, management, and office personnel.
  • Attend required sales meetings and product-training sessions.
  • Protect company-generated leads and represent RollShield honestly and professionally.
  • Follow company procedures, pricing policies, and ethical sales practices.

Qualifications

  • Proven success in in-home sales, home-improvement sales, or another high-ticket closing environment.
  • Ability to provide specific and verifiable sales-performance numbers.
  • Strong closing, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
  • Experience following a structured sales methodology or in-home presentation.
  • Ability to explain previous sales training and how it is used during an appointment.
  • Strong discovery and customer-needs analysis skills.
  • Professional communication and presentation abilities.
  • Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and accountable.
  • Comfortable working on a commission-based compensation plan.
  • Willing to work the hours required to meet homeowners, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Able to use a CRM and maintain accurate customer records.
  • Valid driver’s license, dependable transportation, and the ability to travel throughout the local sales territory.

Preferred Experience

Preference may be given to candidates with successful sales experience involving:

  • Hurricane shutters
  • Impact windows and doors
  • Roofing
  • HVAC systems
  • Solar
  • Kitchens and bathrooms
  • Pools
  • Home security
  • Remodeling
  • Other high-ticket home-improvement products

Formal training in a recognized sales methodology is also preferred.

What We Provide

  • Warm, company-generated sales leads
  • A broad selection of residential and commercial products
  • Established company name and reputation
  • Manufacturing and installation capabilities
  • Product and sales training
  • Sales-management support
  • Uncapped earning potential
  • Weekly commission payments
  • Bonuses, contests, and additional sales incentives
  • Opportunities to sell customers multiple products

Work Schedule

Sales representatives must be available when homeowners are available. The schedule may include:

  • Daytime appointments
  • Evening appointments
  • Some weekend appointments
  • Sales meetings and training sessions

This position is best suited for someone who values income opportunity and understands that successful in-home sales does not always follow a traditional Monday-through-Friday schedule.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a proven closer who:

  • Asks questions before presenting.
  • Listens carefully and identifies the homeowner’s actual motivation.
  • Follows a repeatable sales process.
  • Can explain and defend their previous sales numbers.
  • Does not automatically blame leads, pricing, or customers.
  • Accepts coaching and remains committed to improvement.
  • Follows up instead of giving up after the first appointment.
  • Treats every company-provided lead as a valuable investment.
  • Can confidently ask for the order without using dishonest or high-pressure tactics.

Candidates selected for consideration will complete a brief phone screen followed by a structured in-person interview and sales exercise.

This is a commission-based position. Actual earnings depend on individual sales performance.
