Job description

Cardiac Telemetry Nurse

Shift: Nights โ€” 36 hours only

Contract length: 13โ€“26 weeks accepted Orientation: 24 hours

Minimum 2 years cardiac floor experience required Traveler experience required unless candidate has >24 months cardiac experience Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Preferred: arterial line management, wound care/Wound VAC, prior charge experience Must pass EKG testing prior to start

Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry patients, recognizing and responding to dysrhythmias Administer and titrate cardiac drips as necessary Provide post-operative care for cardiac surgery patients Perform chest tube management and non-invasive airway management (CPAP/BiPAP) Conduct sheath removal and femoral sheath care

RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite; additional RTO/call-offs may result in cancellation/DNR COVID-19 vaccine: Not required; Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed) Storm/Hurricane/Disaster response: Contract staff may be assigned to Storm/Hurricane/Disaster teams and required to report during catastrophic events Licensing: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
