Job description

Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification and 1+ years Pharmacy Technician experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Support at-home chronic care management by joining a dynamic mail order pharmacy team as a Pharmacy Technician III. This contract position offers a structured Monday through Friday schedule, working from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for a 13-week duration starting as soon as possible.

Location: Vinton, VA
Employment Type: Contract/Temporary
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
    Duration: 13 weeks

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately interpret sig codes and select appropriate pharmaceutical products
  • Process prescription refills and manage prescription orders efficiently
  • Perform data entry tasks, verify insurance coverage, and resolve claim rejections
  • Prepare, label, and package medications for pharmacist review and approval
  • Maintain pharmacy inventory by conducting cycle counts and managing returns
  • Respond to inbound and outbound patient calls, and handle prescriber requests professionally
  • Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and company protocols
