Human Resources Associate

Position Summary
The Human Resources Associate provides administrative and operational support across key HR functions, including employee onboarding and offboarding, payroll processing, and employee programs. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and managers, ensuring HR processes are executed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Employee Onboarding & Offboarding

  • Coordinate and facilitate all aspects of the onboarding process for new hires, including offer documentation, background checks, new hire paperwork, orientation scheduling, and system access requests. 
  • Partner with leaders and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience. 
  • Manage employee offboarding activities, including exit interviews, termination documentation and benefits notifications. 
  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files throughout the employee lifecycle. 

Payroll Administration

  • Process payroll on a regular schedule, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and payroll regulations. 
  • Review and validate employee time records, compensation changes, deductions, and other payroll-related transactions. 
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. 
  • Partner with payroll vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure payroll processes run smoothly. 

HR Programs & Employee Support

  • Coordinate and oversee HR programs, including internship programs, employee engagement initiatives, and other talent development activities. 
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for interns, supporting recruitment, onboarding, program administration, and performance feedback processes. 
  • Assist with benefits administration, employee communications, and HR-related reporting. 
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and programs. 

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate HRIS data and employee records. 
  • Prepare reports and metrics related to headcount, turnover, payroll, and HR program participation. 
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies. 
  • Support audits and other HR compliance initiatives as needed. 
  • Assist with special projects and other HR-related duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 
  • 1-3  years of experience in Human Resources, payroll administration, or a related role. 
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, and payroll processes. 
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems preferred. Paylocity preferred. 
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality in a professional environment.
