HR Generalist
Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a dynamic role where you can make a real impact? We’re seeking a motivated HR Generalist with a background in manufacturing to join a forward-thinking team. This is a full-time position, and candidates must be able to work in the U.S. or travel there as required.
What You’ll Do:
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for a variety of roles, from sourcing and interviewing to onboarding.
- Partner with managers to understand hiring needs, create role profiles, and deliver an exceptional candidate experience.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline through LinkedIn, job boards, career fairs, and employee referrals.
- Manage offboarding with professionalism, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Stay up-to-date on recruitment trends and the competitive talent landscape.
HR Operations & Systems
- Maintain accurate employee records in HRIS, performing regular audits and updates.
- Support system updates, documentation, and training.
- Assist with HR compliance, policy reviews, and annual attestations.
- Prepare internal communications regarding HR processes and system enhancements.
Employee Experience, Engagement & Culture
- Plan and implement employee engagement and recognition programs aligned with company culture.

What We’re Looking For:
- 4–5 years of HR experience, with at least 2 years in a generalist role.
- CHRP/CHRL designation (or in progress) is a strong asset.
- Experience in manufacturing, start-ups, multi-entity organizations, or clean-tech environments preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Ontario employment standards; familiarity with U.S. employment practices is a plus.
- Proven ability to handle confidential matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience improving and streamlining HR processes and practices.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, reporting, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.
- Curious, proactive, and solutions-focused, with a willingness to take initiative.
